HMFT works with all ages, levels, and goals! Our clientel ranges from 5 years old to 70 years old! Everyone is welcome and everyone succeeds!
Working one on one with a personal trainer is an excellent option. We do require all new clients, to do an “on ramp” program with a trainer, with a minimum of two private sessions. All clients have the option of continuing their training program privately, long term.
From the trainers stand point, this allows for an optimal environment for movement assessment, program education, introduction to equipment, full focus on the client, and teaching all the foundational movement techniques, amongst many other things. For clients, the privates begin the process of building a strong relationship with the trainer, setting your individual pace, working out all “beginner” kinks, and feeling comfortable in the space before potentially moving into a small group setting.
Personal Training in small groups is perfect for the client who loves the team atmosphere, needs a workout buddy, or is motivated by the social aspect in general. The quality and format of private personal training remains, but with a twist! Your group quickly becomes like a small family and everyone is striving for the same goals. All individual needs are still recognized and the personal training feel is still evident!
**With either option, the workouts are one hour and fifteen minutes long. All sessions include foam rolling, a dynamic warm up, band work, strength training, cardio, and a cool down/stretch. Our focus is to improve total body strength, power, flexibility, mobility, and cardiovascular endurance in a well rounded manner. We provide a high energy environment where the client always comes first. Having fun and hard work are always a priority. This program is like unlike anything out there, let us show you why!
We love our youth and teen training program! We have our kids fitness class (in “Group Fitness” tab) as well as athletic performance and/or general health Personal Training for kids and teens! In these sessions, we take the child’s age, sport (or not), ability, goals, and personality into consideration. We find out who the child is and we honor that. We meet your child exactly where they are, find out what makes them tick, and utilize that information to give them the best experience possible. Exercise should be fun, even when it is hard work, and we pride ourselves on providing that. Our kids leave well worn, with a smile on their face, and always supported!
For our athletic populations, we build sport specific programs to help them progress not only as a person, but as an athlete. We focus on technique and form, as well as building a solid foundation for their athletic development. Speed, reaction time, acceleration/deacceleration, body awareness, agility, injury prevention, strength, power, flexibility, mobility, and a great mindset are some of our focuses. We empower our athletes, build confidence, and help them to reach their full potential. Pre, in, and post season training is available!
We also specialize in personal training to students with learning disabilities. Since we are located in the heart of Eagle Hill School, it is one of our specialties! We have experience in “Brain Gym”, which is a specific technique used to help reintegrate the right and left hemispheres of the brain. This has been shown in research studies to improve moods, academic performance, athletic performance, and general well being. Whatever the need is, we do our best to meet it and make sure your child has the best experience possible!
