One of the absolute best options to get fit the right way is to work one-on-one with a Personal Trainer. For your safety and well-being, we require all new clients to do an “On-Ramp Program” with a trainer with a minimum of 2 private sessions. Then, all clients have the option of continuing their training program privately, long term.
From the trainers’ standpoint, our “On-Ramp Program” provides an optimal environment for movement assessment, program education, introduction to equipment, full focus on the client and teaching clients all the foundational movement techniques (among many other things).
Your “On-Ramp Program” will begin the process of building a strong relationship with your trainer, setting your individual pace, working out all the “beginner kinks” and feeling comfortable in the space before potentially moving into a small group setting.
Personal Training in small groups is perfect for the client who loves the supportive environment of a team atmosphere, needs a workout buddy or is motivated by the social aspect in general. The quality and format of Private Personal Training remains—but with a twist! Your group quickly becomes like a small family where everyone is striving for the same goals. All individual needs are still recognized and the personal training feel is still very much in evidence!
Private or Small Group Personal Training are one hour and fifteen minutes long. All sessions include Foam Rolling, Dynamic Warm-up, Band Work, Strength Training, Cardio and a Cooldown/Stretch. Throughout it all, our focus is to improve total body strength, power, flexibility, mobility and cardiovascular endurance in a well-rounded, holistic manner.

Hannah May Fitness Training offers a Kids Fitness Class, as well as Athletic Performance and/or General Health Personal Training for Kids and Teens! In these sessions, we take the child’s age, sport (or not), ability, goals and personality into consideration to provide the most beneficial experience. We find out who the child is and we honor that. We meet your child exactly where they are, find out what makes them tick and utilize that information to give them the best experience possible.
Exercise should be fun, even when it is hard work. We pride ourselves on providing that. Our kids leave well-worn, with smiles on their faces and always feeling supported!
For our young athletic populations, we build Sport-specific Programs to help them progress not only as a person, but as an athlete. We focus on technique and form, as well as building a solid foundation for their athletic development. Speed, reaction time, acceleration/deceleration, body awareness, agility, injury prevention, strength, power, flexibility, mobility and a great mindset are just some of our focuses. We empower our athletes, build confidence, and help them to reach their full potential. Pre-season, in-season and post-season training is available! Ask us.
We also specialize in Personal Training for Students with Learning Disabilities. Since HMFT is located in the heart of Eagle Hill School, this is one of our specialties! We have experience in “Brain Gym”, a specific technique used to help reintegrate the right and left hemispheres of the brain. “Brain Gym” has been shown in research studies to improve moods, academic performance, athletic performance and general well-being.
